The Chicago Board Options Exchange has extended its approval for listing several spot Bitcoin ETFs, pending the final nod from the SEC.

The SEC is holding meetings today with major exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, and the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), regarding spot Bitcoin ETFs. 

John Palmer, the president of crypto clearing house CBOE Digital, anticipates a significant influx of institutional investment into Bitcoin as soon as the SEC greenlights the first-ever spot ETF. 

In a Dec. 5 post from Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart, Swiss asset manager Pando was announced as an official entrant into the competition for a US spot Bitcoin ETF, filing a 19b-4 through the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
